Working with video gear takes creativity, knowledge and access to solid equipment. Beth Machall-Dwyer with ESCO Communications in Fort Wayne, Indiana tells it like it is: "Like other school clients of ESCO, South Side High School uses the EDIROL LVS-400 for broadcasting through their new broadband (coax) distribution system.

The cart consists of the 4-input switcher with input plates to integrate up to 3 audio/video sources (such as camcorders and microphones) into the switcher and an 8-channel audio mixer. The DVD/VCR uses the switcher's 4th input for incorporating pre-taped video. A single coax cable out the back of the rolling cart plugs into any coax jack in the school enabling the school to go live anywhere in the building.

ESCO has a long history of creating simple one camera production carts, but it was the EDIROL switcher that enabled us to offer an expanded portable studio at an affordable price. We've seen a need for this type of system and are pleased to offer this to our school clients."

Another scholastic venue in Indiana benefited from EDIROL's LVS-400. The Indiana State Fairgrounds also uses the LVS-400 during their 4-H Fair. This new installation enables 4-Her's to broadcast live or pretaped signals throughout two newly rennovated buildings. Fairground staff members and volunteers are excited as they expand their technology capabilities with the LVS-400 to help them produce video for a wide variety of purposes.
